As the Systems and Collaboration Engineer, you will be responsible for 3rd line support & operations of all system and collaboration services, such as email, video/chat, software distribution, threat protection, device management etc, across the GVC Group of companies.


  • Responsible for providing 3rd line& operational support for all aspects of colleague collaboration systems including:
    • Email
    • Video Conferencing
    • Intranet
  • Responsible for ensuring that system and collaboration tickets are processed in a timely way within SLA.
  • Responsible for ensuring the health & reliability of system and collaboration services.
  • Management of device software distribution& management systems
  • Management of the Group Policy (GPO) environment to effectively manage the global device estate
  • Management of Citrix environment operations, device antivirus systems, device patch management systems, mobile device management (MDM) systems
  • Provide capacity planning and performance monitoring including disaster recovery
  • Ensuring that adequate monitoring and alerting is in place for services in scope of role
  • Provide 3rd line technical support for internal and external customer issues
  • Work to eliminate manual activities by through automation
  • Support 24X7 operations by participating in the out of hours support rota
  • Responsible for platform adherence to the published incident, problem and change policies.
  • Support teams in incident resolution and problem solving
  • Step into P1 incidents to aid resolution
  • Responsible for ensuring technicalassistance during major incidents


  • Maintain stability of services in scope
  • Ensure Support services are maintained to meet business requirements
  • Ensure services are continually improved where possible
  • Ensure adequate monitoring &alerting is maintained and fit for purpose


  • Expert in Exchange Online, O365 and Windows Operating system
  • A track record of supporting large-scale, global high availability, mission-critical digital products and IT systems. In addition, they must have a proven background delivering major IT or commercial programmes.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven track record at supporting collaboration technologies operations such as Office365/Teams.
  • Experience of systems administration of Jive.
  • Strong experience of Mobile Device Management systems, Device management and deployment systems such as SCCM/Intune.
  • Expert in managing Group Policy (GPO) in a large multi-domain organisation.
  • Good technical experience in managing Apple MacOS devices.
  • Specialist in managing anti-virus/ anti-malware systems.
  • Expert operational understanding of Active Directory.
  • Excellent scripting skills, to support automation.
