Purpose of Role:

As the Head Of End User Engineering, you will be responsible for End User Engineering across the GVC Group, including Identity Management and Authentication, collaboration and client endpoint computing for End User Services globally. You will manage a team of up to 15 people who will drive forward design specifications for new EUS projects and working with key members to define and support EUS teams in delivering them. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Operation and support of Desktop software distribution & management systems such as SCCM, desktop antivirus systems and desktop patch management systems
  • Assist with definition and implementation of the EUS workplace including desktop standards and communication infrastructure
  • Operational management of the Single Sign on Service
  • Development, operation and maintenance of EUS core infrastructure technologies including: Active Directory, Email, Instant messaging, Telephony and Video Conferencing
  • Working closely with the Head of End User Support Services to ensure that End User Services
  • platforms are fit for purpose and operating successfully to support a multi-site global organisation
  • End User Services problem analysis, liaising with other EUS and wider technology teams as required to solve complex IT problems.
  • Ensure GVC are compliant with licenses and any other regulations in place and provide regular reports on license usage against schedule
  • Continuous review of existing environment, to enhance performance and/or operational costs in coordination with the Director of EUS
  • Ensuring that adequate monitoring and alerting is in place for services in scope of role
  • Proactive monitoring of EUS service environment in order to prevent, wherever possible, incidents from occurring and thereby maximizing EUS service availability and performance
  • In conjunction with EUS key team members, contribute to project planning, architecture and deployment of new EUS systems
  • Through the evaluation and review of existing systems, recommend, design and deploy enhancements, optimizing and standardizing current solutions
  • Assist, develop and maintain strategic roadmap for EUS Support Services mobile and collaboration services
  • Provide guidance of technology implementation and automation
  • Provide technical and cost analysis of implementations
  • Manage EUS Engineering teams across geographically dispersed locations, to ensure delivery of high-quality services across the group
  • As a key member of End User Services, they will keep up to date with industry trends and provide guidance on where these would influence our future roadmaps and drive the department forward in its adoption of new technologies.

Your Experience:

  • Strong IT service support experience in a large online gaming or e-business company
  • Guru in their field of expertise and absolute subject matter expert, with MCSE certification in the following areas:
  • Windows server technologies; Exchange/O365, SharePoint, Skype For Business
  • Active Directory, administration and design
  • Desktop deployment and client management, application packaging and deployment
  • Group Policy, design, implementation and deployment
  • Single Sign on
  • Identity Management
  • Scripting and atomization
  • Strong Technical understanding of:
  • Network technologies; LAN, WAN, TCPIP, DNS etc.
  • Telephony and Video conferencing technologies
  • Virtualization and storage technologies
  • Cloud services
  • Knowledge of High Availability and cluster technologies
  • Expert Root cause analysis capabilities
  • Tuning and optimization techniques
  • Automation of technologies
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Drives change and continuous improvement – thrives on change and is continually looking for new ways to improve operations and capabilities
