About The Role
Role Purpose    

The Head of Brand Marketing (Coral) has responsibility for drive all aspects of the brand marketing agenda across Coral business. Specifically, this covers brand and creative strategy, ATL advertising and media, partnerships and social. The role reports to the Brand Marketing Director, but it serves as an integral part of the Coral brand tribe and should essentially be the ‘right hand’ of the Coral Sports Book Director in relation to marketing planning and execution for Sports. In addition, the role will work closely with the Sports Brands Gaming team to ensure that there is a winning strategy and compelling gaming marketing activity in place for the Coral brand also. The role has responsibility for a strong team and will work with a wide range of stakeholders from exec level down and across multiple functions e.g. compliance, legal, finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Brand Marketing Director, Coral Sports Book Director and Gaming Director to develop and implement a comprehensive, winning Brand strategy for Coral – Key focus on ensuring that the brand lives through all customer touchpoints.
  • Be an active, engaged senior member of the Coral tribe – supporting the Coral Brand Director & Gaming Director with strategy, planning and implementation work as required
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to communicate brand narratives that support the strategic and commercial goals for Coral Sports & Coral Gaming teams
  • Work with the Managing Director, Sports Book and Gaming Directors to help define appropriate brand marketing budgets for Coral (media & production) ensuring that spend is aligned to strategic and commercial goals.
  • Manage the assigned Coral brand marketing budgets ensuring transparency of planning and spend; and delivery of ROI and value for money.
  • Define and implement effective and efficient media strategies (overall and at a channel level).
  • Define the creative strategy for Coral across all touch points – ensuring alignment the creative guidelines on an ongoing basis
  • Lead the development of all key marketing campaigns across the year e.g. Grand National, Euro2020 – ensuring alignment into performance marketing channels (acquisition & CRM)
  • Develop and implement innovative brand partnerships that drive the Coral brand and deliver growth in terms of new and existing customer volume and value.
  • Work with PR Director to define the sponsorship agenda and ensure that sponsorships are effectively activated across the full marketing mix.
  • Lead relationships with key strategic agencies i.e. creative and ATL media.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • 2:1 or higher from top tier university
Specialist Skills and Experience Required


  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing including significant roles within top tier consumer businesses that have a strong marketing focus / reputation
  • FMCG background preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience delivering growth and brand health across a range of different roles / companies
  • Rich expertise in all aspects of Brand Marketing i.e. advertising development, media management, creative, digital brand e.g. social
  • Experience developing and implementing brand strategies in multi-channel organisations
  • Experience managing agency relationships with top tier agencies
  • Experience managing significant budgets i.e. 8 figure media spends
  • Experience influencing / working at all levels of an organisation
  • Proven track record recruiting and developing teams of varying levels of skill and experience
