The Role

As an Apprenticeship Lead you will be responsible for partnering with HRBPs, hiring managers, apprentices and training providers to ensure a consistent experience and robust quality control over apprenticeship support.

You’ll join the Apprenticeship team to advise the business on how apprenticeships can support new and existing colleagues with their development.

Key Responsibilities


  • Partnering with HRBPs to profile job descriptions against a broad range of apprenticeship standards, working with senior business stakeholders to agree and execute promotional communications and learner identification
  • Main employer contact externally to training providers and tackling escalations of issues when required
  • Maintaining existing training provider relationships and engaging with new providers as and when needed, partnering with procurement and legal to agree contractual terms
  • Ensuring the correct endorsements for learners are in place and providing ongoing support and guidance
  • Run regular check-in’s with learners and supporting managers to identify issues and celebrate successes
  • Confident in navigating and managing the online government digital account to open cohorts and manage learners
  • Reporting on apprenticeship learning ROI, working with HRIS and other internal teams to gauge impact on retention, engagement and other relevant measures
  • Maintaining up to date information on the company intranet and other relevant channels whilst partnering with Internal Communications around specific campaigns and awareness drives


Candidate Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of apprenticeships and the apprenticeship levy
  • Previous experience in working with training providers and/or colleges
  • Excited to work across the spectrum of apprenticeship levels – foundation to masters
  • Able to juggle and maintain focus on multiple standards, learners, suppliers and start dates.
  • Able to adapt personal style to build trust and influence with stakeholders
  • Strong administration capability
