Purpose of Role

At GVC, the purpose of our Talent & Development function is to enable our colleagues to be the best version of themselves for now and for the future to enable business success and personal growth.

As part of the Talent & Development Team, the Talent & Development Coordinator will support the team in bringing our purpose to life by playing a key role in our efforts to build a high performance culture where people want to join and others don’t want to leave and where our leaders bring out the best in others and manage the talent within their teams.

Helping our colleagues remove all barriers for learning and providing high support to ensure their development is maximised is a core element to the role.

The role requires a thorough attention to detail with an equally committed focus to colleague experience and support. The lifecycle of programmes begins with planning and initial design, through to benefit measurement, analytics and recommendations for improvement.

Key responsibilities 
As such this role will support the implementation of GVC’s approach to Talent & Development across the organisation, in particular: 
  • Co-coordinating all programmes delivered onsite and offsite across the global GVC landscape, for example, Management Development Programme (MDP), Horizon, Bitesize. 
  • Analysing training evaluation data and making recommendations on the effectiveness and impact of Talent & Development efforts.
  • Liaising with vendors and service providers to monitor performance during delivery to ensure quality and value for money.
  • Administering the licenses and tools that support our programmes (e.g. Online third-party tools and Apps).
  • Accurately tracking departmental budget spend against plans, managing the financial processes and highlighting issues and make recommendations as necessary.
  • Automating and harmonising processes across the team to optimise efficiency, securing a greater return on investment.
  • Other relevant activities as and when directed by the Head of Leadership and Management Development
Specialist skills and experience 

A hands-on professional with strong experience in learning & development. Reporting in to the Head of Leadership and Management Development.

  • Strong experience in coordinating the delivery of multiple learning & development programmes.
  • Experience within an L&D function operating in a matrix environment coordinating with key stakeholders.
  • Good level of commercial acumen and business knowledge
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent MS Office skills a must.
  • Financial management acumen.
  • Experience in working with third party suppliers.
  • A strong, articulate and confident communicator, both in writing and spoken communications.
  • Innovative thinking in the delivery of L&D interventions.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and often complex, changing environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills. 

2+ years in an organisational process driven team with excellent Customer focus

Certification in key learning and development methodologies - desirable

CIPD qualification desirable although not essential.
