Purpose of Role

GVC is looking for a Commercial Manager to join its business-to-business team in London. The division has grown significantly over time, and now includes more than 40 customers across a diverse range of products and territories.
 
The GVC partnership team has two main functions:
  1. Managing b2b relationships for the GVC group:
    • GVC has several strategically important b2b relationships, including Danske Spil in Denmark and PMU in France. The successful candidate will manage a number of key commercial relationships ensuring that the GVC group delivers against contractual commitments and deepens its relationships via contract extensions and renewals.
  2. Strategic business development including sales materials and RFP responses:
    • The Commercial Manager will play an active role in working with the Corporate Development team in London to identify, qualify, and ultimately manage new partnerships, and travel globally to meet prospective clients and attend trade shows. Partnerships can range from b2b through to joint ventures and M&A targets. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, the Commercial Manager will regularly interact with external customers at a senior level, and multiple internal teams (corporate development, product, technology, compliance, legal, finance etc).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing existing b2b customer relationships.
  • Liaising with other relationship managers and internal teams.
  • Working with Legal and Finance in negotiating and drafting b2b contracts.
  • Working with Corporate Development to find, qualify and manage new partners.
  • Supporting the group with marketing materials and credentials documents.
  • Representing the company at trade shows and conferences.
Knowledge/Expertise/Qualifications:

Essential
  • Commercial online gaming experience ideally in a B2B capacity
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong relationship skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Fluent English language
Desired
  • Good understanding of sports betting products and services
  • Knowledge of odds feed products and technology
  • Presentation skills with experience of working on pitch documents and RFPs
  • Project management experience
  • An understanding of the existing GVC platform would be useful, but not essential
  • Other European language skills would be a plus
