About The Role

As Technical CMS Product Associate, you will help in shaping and executing the product strategy and roadmap for GVC’s internal CMS. You will be responsible for transforming the product strategy into product delivery, driving improvements and across development teams through clearly articulated business requirements, positioning, and analysis. Contributing to the product development strategy and roadmap, your inputs will be pivotal in shaping a seamless customer experience for our CMS users, ultimately reducing effort and providing more flexibility for the end users.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute and assist in realising the product vision
    • Works with the product leads to identify business opportunities, find appropriate solutions, prepare roadmaps
    • Diagnose key gaps already inplace and drive product enhancements to fill them
  • Provides product services to the Marketing/Operations teams
    • Works with Marketing teams to understand their business requirements
    • Presents proposed solutions that fulfil the Marketing/Operations team’s business requirements
    • Provides demos to Marketing teams prior to feature release/change
    • Provides assistance to marketing in advance configurations of content
    • Provides assistance with migration delivery and marketing teams
  • Defines product/project scope
  • Coordinates business analysis and requirements definition
    • Works with the Business Analysists to define detailed business requirements for both function and non-functional requirements
    • Works with the user experience team to design solutions that meet the business goals
    • Works with the technical leads to ensure the defined requirements meet the business goals, whilst ensuring a good customer experience and speed to market
    • Reviews and approves requirements before they are taken to development
  • May be required to travel every 6 weeks to meet with delivery teams in other locations
  • Communicates upcoming product changes to stakeholders
  • UAT and sign off for product releases
  • Attends key scrum meetings:
    • Pre-sprint planning prioritisation
    • Estimation/PBR (in order to discuss and refine scope)
    • Sprint demo/review
  • Benefit realisation
    • Conducts post release analysis to measure the benefit of key product changes and identify opportunities for further optimisation
  • Derive and publish root cause analysis of bugs that cannot be resolved by Lean Operations (DevOps)
  • Be an advocate for user experience and a promoter of customer experience-driven design

 

Knowledge/Expertise/Qualifications:

A strong argument for an engineering background in the field we are in (e-gaming): a big part of defining a successful product is in understanding technology and seeing how it might be applied to help solve a relevant problem or exploit a certain (future) opportunity

  • Good technical understanding – 5 years’ experience in a software engineering business
  • Proven extensive experience working with a CMS
  •  Ability to support business cases creation, detailed functional specifications and wire frames, with an excellent track record of developing, launching, and marketing online products
  • Proven track record in requirements engineering ß 5 years of practical experience
  •  Good analytical, modelling and writing skills - convey the message in the shortest possible way to communicate information effectively to customers, managers, and technical staff
  • Interviewing skills - to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information
  •  Flexible modelling skills - (e.g. use case modelling) to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language
  •  A broad and comprehensive technical understanding is required as well as a good understanding of product development processes and concepts (especially in an agile environment)
  • Experience in player journey/user experience and web/software user interface development.
  • Ability to present ideas, and recommendations clearly in verbal, written and presentation formats.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional teams and to internalise new processes and developments in a highly dynamic industry
  • Proven track record for successful project management <- 3 years practical experience
  • Excellent communication skills (English) in both written and verbal format
  • Not afraid of the "very last detail" to go into / but ability to aggregate to a proper level of information for others
  • Results orientation and efficiency - works in an environment which is often that complex that a proper solution won't always be visible nor is the way towards this solution easy to plan
  • Sitecore experience beneficial
  • C# and .NET experience beneficial
