We are recruiting for an experienced Backend Software Engineer, who will be contributing to the delivery of the biggest IT transformation in the company with hands on an exciting technology stack.

You will be part of the Retail Engineering team and as such accountable for the following:

· Engineering standards - Help define development best practices and guidelines; constructively help improving our ways of working.

· Low Level Designs – Software Engineers are required to contribute in low level designs

· Develop Code – Develop against the agreed designed architecture, best practices and guidelines.

· Quality – Always improve the quality of the code according to our standards and help identify technical debts and risks.

· Assurance of Architecture Guidelines – Assure code meets architecture guidelines

· Reliability – Assure code meet out reliability requirements (Resilience & Availability, Scalability and Automation, Performance, Monitoring, Protected UX)

Your objectives will be

  • You will support the delivery of highly transactional projects and respective transitions to BAU.
  • You will be learning from and coaching you peers to continuously help improve our engineering practice
  • You will contribute to creating a healthy workplace environment where collaboration and professional ethic are must.
  • You will continuously seek for opportunities to streamline delivery whilst keep high code quality standards.
  • You will contribute to creating a thriving development community.
  • You will work effectively with other teams such as Security, Devops, SRE, QA, Delivery and Architecture and L2 support.

To join us, all you’ll need is the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of development experience including 3+ years of Java development experience.
  • Working experience of Agile software delivery within dynamic corporate environments.
  • Experience in the betting industry –an advantage.
  • Self and fast learner.
  • Experience/Technical knowledge in the following products/technologies would be highly desirable:
