About The Role
Purpose

Be a key part of the shop team that is engaged, knowledgeable of the betting industry and proud of the Ladbrokes/Coral brand.   Have a proactive approach, understanding, connecting with and building great relationships with the customers.   To create a safe and enjoyable environment where colleagues and customers feel welcomed and involved.  Play an active part in the local community understanding the drives in footfall opportunities. 

Responsibilities  
  • Creating amazing customer experiences for everyone who visits the shop by;
    •  Be confident and engaging on the shop floor, the default position in the shop, interacting with customers. 
    • Creating strong “personal” connections with individual customers, initiating conversations and listening to learn about their sporting interests and lives.
    • Prioritise “every” and “any” interaction with a new or existing customer.
    • To be able to identify customers betting preference and advise on appropriate betting opportunities.
    • Being friendly, enthusiastic and upbeat in any given situation, ensuring every customer is given a positive experience.
    • Being empowered to provide realistic and effective solutions to customer issues/problems that may need resolved. 
  • To understand and the company's product offering, including in shop and on-line to enable them to have confident conversations with customers
  • To become a proactive expert in the local community, news, issues & gossip
  • Ensuring compliance with the following;
    • Health and Safety procedures
    • Security procedures
    • Cost control
    • Responsible gambling
    • Think 21
  • Maintaining high shop standards, taking pride in the shop and ensuring all colleagues adhere to the company uniform policy.
  • Ensure knowledge of commercial awareness and personal impact they can have when driving profitable shop. 
  • Support the SM/MPM in building and retaining a strong team through effective recruitment, communication and training and development.

Working Patterns

In Most of our shops opening hours are between 8am - 10pm Monday to Sunday. 
In this role you will work any 4 out of 7 days, which will include weekend and Bank Holidays.
Shifts are devised on a rota basis and will change weekly in order to keep shifts fair across the team.

 

You must be 18 years old or over to work in one of our betting shops.
