About The Role

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join GVC's Retail in-house design team, who will report into the Design Team Leader.  The successful applicant will oversee the design and production of our in-house magazine.

Outside of this responsibility, you’ll be supporting the team with creating and delivering eye-catching, engaging designs for all shop PoS, social media, internal communications and screens featured in the retail estate. Ensuing the product is consistent throughout, in accordance with relevant brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for laying out and sub-editing editorial pages. Preparing and sending all pages as print-ready PDF’s to the external printers
  • To systematically back up all files after each magazine for archiving and future reference
  • Working to weekly deadlines, you’ll be responsible for managing your own workload efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Design creative elements for both Ladbrokes and Coral social media and CRM
  • Ensure consistency in the application of brand guidelines in all Retail creative output for both brands
  • Focus all output on ensuring staff and customer engagement, and in turn driving stakes
  • Maintain and build relationships with different departments to ensure the timely delivery and implementation of creative material
  • Creation of static graphics for screen and TV based product; both information pages and marketing content, according to market and customer requirements
  • Provide an in-house design service for anything required to promote the business, ranging from posters to social media graphics

Required Skill and Expertise

  • A Degree or Diploma qualification (or Foundation or BTEC Diploma) in a recognised graphic design, illustration or art & design course
  • Experience and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite in particular InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator as key focus for this role
  • Experience of a form of script writing such as HTML or similar would be advantageous

  • Strong attention to detail and clarity of design
  • Ability to manage work and organise priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment, dictated by market opportunities, often to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also individually.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Keen learner, who picks up new skills quickly.
  • Understanding of, and passion for sports is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of sports betting and gaming markets is an advantage
