About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Copywriter at GVC Holdings, one of the world’s largest sports betting and gaming groups.
As the Senior Product Copywriter, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our tone of voice in app across multiple brands and products. You will help to optimise user journeys and remove waffle, directing users with minimal copy that gives the best possible user experience.


The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the differentiating factors for betting and gaming brands, understand both the emotional and promotional triggers for our customers, and be able to find the perfect micro copy for each page and button in-app.

You will be reporting to the Lead Creative Copywriter who will work closely with you to ensure the consistency between your copy and our latest marketing campaigns, ensuring our communication is kept on brand and up to date at every touch point in the user experience.

This role would be best suited to a Senior writer with at least 4 years of experience writing for product and some management experience, as there is an ambition to grow a team underneath this position. Initially, you will be expected to manage external freelancer resources before hiring more permanent writers.

As with any writing role, you will be expected to help shape our brands for consumer audiences. This will involve developing and owning brand tone of voice guidelines, and ensuring all copy is written in accordance with these, being grammatically correct and locally relevant to our sports and casino gaming customers.


  • Lead and develop the product copy team
  • Build relationships with marketing, product, and customer service teams to understand their needs and ensure learnings through debriefs
  • Work closely with Product teams, Head of Portal, Marketing, Head of Brand and Creative, Studio Manager and Resource and Trafficking Manager to understand promotional plans and your resource needed to deliver against those plans
  • Be a brand and tone of voice custodian for all brands within GVC
  • Review all existing copy for our apps and optimise within the brand guidelines
  • Work with other departments to deploy and execute new templates and build an understanding of the importance of tone of voice
  • Work closely with Localisation and Translation Manager to ensure the quality of copy going into the Translation and Memory tool
  • Work closely on the execution and quality of copy from across all of our sites: Gibraltar, Barcelona, London, Vienna and Hyderabad
  • Work towards individual and team KPIs that align with business requirements.

Job requirements:

  • 4 years+ experience in copywriting for marketing communications, across multiple channels particularly in Product
  • Availability to travel to our global offices
  • Native proficiency in English language and confident working across markets
  • Experience working in a highly regulated sector
  • Experience working within the sports and casino preferred but not necessary
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to successfully self-manage multiple projects
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality proofreading skills
  • High level of productivity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

This position, based in our Gibraltar office, but with occasional travel to our other London office, will have you working closely with a team of talented product managers, copywriters, and developers to build out multiple market-leading app content.
