About The Role

Purpose of Role:

The role sits within the Central Marketing Insight and Analytics team and will be responsible for the leadership of a team of Analysts and Report and dashboard builders. The team will provide performance reviews and insights across all the GVC brands and markets.

The successful candidate will manage a team of analysts driving high-profile strategic and operational initiatives, delivering marketing and business insights, and making recommendations for short and long-term decisions. In addition, you'll be expected to identify data patterns and trends from all available information sources, producing user focused output that will be converted into business solutions. You will work with the Central and Regional Data Science and BI teams across the various GVC markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of analysts and report writers that support several disparate remote teams abd stakeholders
  •  Stake holder management for both the Central marketing team and the Regional teams - such as UK and DACH.
  •  Control and governance of Demand and Communication of work progress and delivery.
  •  Align with the Leaders of the Central and Regional Analytics/BI teams to ensure Priories and expectations are set.
  •  Management of a team of analysts which includes, but not limited to, Recruitment, Performance management, skill enhancement, delivery, stakeholder management; identification and role out of best practice.
  •  Ensuring that the analyst is delivering for their respective region while contributing to the "raise the bar" of the Analyst team in Hyderabad
  •  Help the team solve more complex analytical questions and problems
  •  Ensure the team are capable of delivering reports, dashboards or analyses summarizing business, operational or financial data for review by executives, managers and other stakeholders
  •  Understand the data within the data warehouse as well as the various data sources used in the business and be the subject matter expert with a view to supporting day to day questions from the team
  •  Work closely with the data warehouse team and the data steward team to ensure business context of the data is understood and is shared with the analyst team in order to help them with their reporting and insight tasks
  •  Be the owner of reporting workstreams across various marketing projects and co-ordinate with regional teams, including dashboards, adhoc data
  •  Ensure that the status of the various reporting/insights workstreams is updated on a regular basis in order to ensure proper co-ordination with the rest of the Data & Insight team especially on projects that are common across various teams
  •  Plan, assign, review and communicate the status of large reporting & insight projects

  •  Recruit, onboard and integrate new resources into the business and into cross department projects
  •  Ensure workload is evenly distributed within the team and that all processes can be covered during times of absence
  •  Ensure the requestors are kept informed of the status of various items and delivery is as agreed with respect to quality and timelines

  •  Provide training to new members of the team on tools (SQL, Tableau, any other) as required
  •  Provide domain related training to the team as required. This includes domain knowledge on our products, our CRM/Acquisition systems, digital marketing etc

Specialist skills and experience

 

Essential:

 Proactive person with strong Communication skills

 Ability to articulate analysis for a non-technical audience with clarity and in an engaging way

 Experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders and an ability to build and maintain effective relationships

 

 Expert knowledge of data manipulation and query tools ie. SQL Server, TSQL, PL-SQL

  •  Advanced and proficient skills in reporting tools including the development and design of reports - Tableau, PowerBI, Microstrategy
  •  Commercially curious with natural desire to be connected with the commercial agenda of the business
  •  The ability to adapt to the changing nature of the business and industry with an innovative approach to ensure improved solutions supports ongoing business performance
  •  Experience in setting up and establishing a team of analysts, subject matter experts

 Technical knowledge of data architecture and data management systems

 Very strong technology, data and analytics skills

 Robust knowledge of all elements of CRM and CX management including use of behavioral customer segmentations
