You will be responsible for the managing the partypoker business intelligence department. The department is responsible for Business Intelligence, reporting, Insight, analytics and business consultancy that drives key decisions across all the poker business functions. The role will be a key driver of the partypoker player strategy, customer journeys and poker ecology. Working across acquisition, marking, CRM, business and financial performance, the role will be at the heart of decision making. You will be in the thick of it, delivery detailed business analysis and insight across multiple projects and leveraging GVC’s extended capability in the areas of data and analytics.

Additional Information
  • Lead the Business intelligence team and provide the necessary data driven support for all products under the partypoker umbrella.
  • Provide insights to aid decision making in other areas including product development, financial planning, operations and business development.
  • Advise the leadership team on how to balance the poker ecology and provide recommendations to increase revenue
  • Review and analyse our marketing spends and return on investment for each channel and provide recommendations for further optimisation
  • Review and analyse our promotional spend and provide recommendations for further optimisation
  • Ensure your team has a high level of understanding of the poker business model and assess the potential impact of new products, changes in pricing strategy or significant adjustments in market conditions
  • Develop the Poker analytics and data science roadmap and strategy covering projects, tools, data and people, and leverage GVC’s Data Science team and AI platform.
  • Challenge convention within the company and examine the benefit of existing methodologies.
  • Act as a key member of the management team, providing impartial advice to the MD and act as a strong advocate for insight-driven decision making
  • Build upon the existing team of analysts and create a large team of talented, passionate analysts, data scientists and machine learning engineers. Create an environment in which they can thrive and collaborate for the benefit of the company.
  • Collaborate with various teams to identify how insight and analytics can increase revenue and reduce cost (Churn, ROMI, propensity modelling, recommendations, triggers, etc.)
  • Leverage developments in other parts of the organisation that can be beneficial to the Poker team, such as bonus optimisation or control group strategies.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership position within the online gaming industry
  • Degree or equivalent in quantitative area (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science)
  • Excellent leadership, people management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working on large, complex analytical projects where insights will have a substantial impact on the profitability of the organization.
  • A deep understanding of the core models on which our business depends.
  • Advanced Knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with Statistical tools (R, KNIME, Python, other) and ideally of Analytics Cloud capabilities
  • A balance of creative and innovative thinking coupled with the strategic, analytic and practical skills required to identify opportunities for significant net revenue gains.
  • A demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and decisions, even without positional authority.
  • Always remain impartial and act with the utmost integrity when using data

  • Works well under pressure and be able to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
