Purpose of Role:

As Senior Product Manager, you will be part of a team that shapes and executes the Platform product strategy and roadmap for GVC Holdings. You will be working closely with the Director of Product and will be responsible for transforming the product strategy into product delivery, driving the achievement of results with a major focus on business analysis and requirements engineering.

Secondary to delivering successful results, you will be also be responsible for effectively managing operational issues and requests to drive service excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Management
    • Working with Director of Product to establish product strategy, set roadmaps, contribute ideas, identify opportunities and define functional requirements in the product backlog
    • You will be responsible to help formulate and deliver the medium and long term product vision in line with commercial strategy and objectives.
    • Filling the gap between high level product requirements and concepts and define clear specifications that will guide the delivery plan. (functional and non-functional requirements)
    • Development, monitoring and improvement of platform specific KPIs. Creation of KPI frameworks for new products, guidance of team to work based on data-driven decisions. Monitoring of product performance and quality, leading optimization or instant problem solving.
    • Regularly conducting and publishing market intelligence and competitive analysis on the products’ position in the market, identifying areas of opportunity, change and improvement.
    • Building successful relationships throughout the company across all functions and jurisdictions, influencing others at a senior level to negotiate solutions and communicate complex information to all levels across the business.
  • Requirements engineering
    • Defining and improving the process for platform product development, accompanying R&D, QA and UAT for all related products
    • Write detailed epics and user stories and provide clarifications on the user stories for the development team
    • Creation/maintenance and management of requirements in VersionOne.
    • Lead User Acceptance Testing (alignment with delivery team)
    • Co-ordination of dependencies between tasks, delivery teams or projects
    • Maintenance and enhancements, ensuring steady development of existing product
    • Conception (being part of conception phase) – concept overview + high level requirements
  • Working with Delivery teams
    • Responsible for clarification of open topics with Business Analysts
    • Working with scrum teams and participating in their ceremonies (Grooming, planning, reviews)
    • Alignment with other backlogs (functional level)
    • Review (functional) test cases
    • Derive and publish Root cause analysis of bugs that cannot be resolved by Lean Operations (DevOps)

Knowledge/Expertise/Qualifications:

  • Proven online product management experience, particularly within Core Account, CRM, Wallet and Customer Service areas. Bonus if it’s within an online gaming environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional teams and to internalize new processes and developments in a highly dynamic industry.
  • Ability to support business cases creation, detailed functional specifications and wire frames, with an excellent track record of developing and launching online products.
  • Proven track record in requirements engineering, particularly:
    • Good analytical, modelling and writing skills - convey the message in the shortest possible way to communicate information effectively to customers, managers, and technical staff
    • Interviewing skills - to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information 
  • A broad and comprehensive technical understanding is required as well as a good understanding of product development processes and concepts (especially in an agile environment).
  • Experience in player journey/user experience and web/software user interface development.
  • Ability to present ideas and recommendations clearly in verbal, written and presentation formats.
  • Not afraid of the going down to the very last detail, but with the ability to aggregate to a proper level of information for others
