About The Role

The Senior Digital and Social Manager for Ladbrokes or Coral will work closely with the Head of Brand, Sports leadership team and the broader brand marketing teams and will be responsible for the delivery of digital and social strategy and execution that delivers on the brand strategy

This role will be fundamental step change our thinking and approach to digital and social planning and activity as we reshape our approach to customer communication and the integration of all of our digital activity.

This exciting role is diverse and will involve technical,  creative and customer planning skills Social Media currently has two broad roles, used as a primarily communications channels to extend broadcast campaigns in terms of reach and engagement, and to build an engaged group of customers/fans/prospects to increase wallet share and frequency of betting.

We must embed digital and social in all that we do, using the channels to deliver both broadcast, and specific audience communications.  As we develop our brand strategies further, Social and Digital will be the most critical channels to communicate with our customers, both from an advertising POV and most importantly, creating content that will be shareable and lead to a 2-way conversation.  We need to deliver a strategy and executions to activity engage our customers.  

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Brand digital and Social Media strategy for the Ladbrokes/Coral brand, working with senior stakeholders across Performance Marketing, On-Site Content, PR, Content Development, Campaigns and Paid Media. (NB> the use of social media channels for performance marketing sits outside this role, but it is imperative that we join up the thinking)

Working closely with both internal and external agencies and media owner, this role will provide a diverse challenge for an ambitious individual and is a critical role in the Digital Marketing business, and embedding our brand purposes

Key Responsibilities

Drive brand activity in digital and social that not only positions our brands ahead of our competitors,  but ahead of other industry sectors.
Lead a step change in digital and social activity to develop channel strategies in line with brand purpose.
Be a credible digital communications expert,  educating and upskilling key stakeholders 
Develop a growth and management plan for our communities,  increasing reach and maintaining engagement 
Deliver integrated digital and social campaigns that support broader campaign strategies
Build strong relationships with PR and CS teams to ensure that all digital communications are aligned,  and visible to our customers
Development of close relationships with internal stakeholders/departments enabling the delivery of business objectives through marketing strategy
Building strong relationships with internal and external agencies and partners, setting direction, performance indicators and KPI measures
Own test and learn plan across brand,  performance and CRM
Be the go to contact for 3rd party media owners for Ladbrokes/Coral
Assisting in monthly, quarterly and annual investment planning to ensure strict budget management and streamlined accounting/payment processes
Report against KPIs for marketing campaigns, monitoring performance.
Work with BI and Head of Media to correctly attribute performance
Uses Social listening to understand the customer sentiment and works with all other channels to share and show how plans will optimize to improve
Keeps abreast of legislative change and plans ahead to mitigate impact
Recruit, mentor and develop the team by providing development, coaching, objectives and goal setting, performance management and other people policies as required ensuring the team is motivated, productive and fully compliant with all regulations and legislation

Specialist skills and experience
 
Highly Experienced in all digital and social channels, from strategy to execution
Proven track record in revolutionising digital thinking and embedding the channels in the heart of every campaign plan
Excellent numerical skills, which can be proven through examples of tracking methodology and data driven planning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to use a range of communication styles and methods to engage audiences of different types and levels
Understanding of wider business objectives and how to translate these into digital and social briefs and plan
Can demonstrate understanding of relevant Mar Tech tools and developments
Experience of working within a large organisation with a matrix of operational teams and delivering business objective
Experience of working within Entertainment industry would be beneficial but not imperative
Proven in experience in coaching and developing team
